How to plot Lot bearing in AutoCAD

Here's a quick and short way to plot lot bearing in autoCAD with the help of excel file.

1. Download the sample excel file (Here) and input the necessary values as per your property lot found in your TCT copy.

You may use "meters" or "millimeters" in values under "Distance" depending on your preference.

2. Select all, under "Copy in AutoCAD" and right click to copy.

3. Open up autoCAD and type "PL" (polyline) and press enter.

4. Select any point for your starting point or you may type "0,0" then press enter.

5. Point your mouse in your "command line window" and paste (CTRL+V) then hit enter. Don't paste directly to your drawing space.

This is way more quicker than the normal set up of changing the drawing units to "Surveyor's Unit" then typing one by one in this sample format "@10530<N20D43'E"

drawing units

Alternative would be encoding in notepad or excel directly the whole lot bearing data following the same format as you usually do "@distance<N/S00D00'E/W" then copy and paste in autoCAD.

@10530<N20D43'E

@9600<S68D27'E

@8770<S19D1'W

@2440<S67D48'W

@8070<N69D3'W

Which one will you find more convenient?

a. encoding the whole lot bearing points in CAD or

b. encode in sample excel sheet/notepad then just copy the whole text and paste in CAD?
